Hi,

Got a 266Mhz iMac running 8.6. I'd like to get a cheap but good digital camera for it and was wondering what might be good. It doesn't have to be new or the highest technology. 2MP minimum, but that doesn't mean it _has_ to be 3 or 4MP.

The computer is running 8.6 and of course has USB ports, so anything that connects with USB would be fine. Hopefully wouldn't take too much extra $$$ to get adapters and the like.

Considerations:
1) Cheap storage (perhaps CF or other Flash-based media?)
2) Good lens
3) Good performance in low-light situations (ie indoors)
4) Reputable company

Thanks,
Dan

I dont'know the current price of the Canon Powershot S110, but I like it. I suggest you read up on this stuff through these links:

Steve Digicams is a good site. DPReview is also good. I forget the rest.

Panasonic DMC-LC20

Considerations:
1) Cheap storage (perhaps CF or other Flash-based media?

Uses SD Memory, Cheap and reliable

2) Good lens

Lumix lens, Leica element

3) Good performance in low-light situations (ie indoors)

I have taken good pictures in low light situation but it will take getting used to.

4) Reputable company

Panasonic is a trusted name in Electronics and Lumix is a world leader in photo lens.
It I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you.
