Two questions:
1. A friend has purchased a windows iPod. She says that it takes her at least an hour to download mp3's through the firewire connection
for only 50 of them or so. Has anybody else had this problem?
I was just going to have her return it immediately to the Apple store
since it's under warranty right now.
2. Are the new flat panels compatible with PC's? What do you need to install on PC to get them to work, if it is possible?

Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!

Thatīs odd! Before returning the device please check that the firewire card is correctly installed in the wintel box. Mayby you could try to install it again. Remove the software and drivers and remove the FireWire card and install everything again.
If not that works ? buy a Mac!

How about a search for previous threads on the same subject, kentuckyfried?

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.
