20" Cinema Display extended warranty?

I purchased the 20" Cinema Display today as a surprise for my wife.

My question, has anyone who has purchased the 20" Cinema Display also purchased an extended warranty for it?

I ordered the display and hopefully it will arrive tomorrow or Friday....

Since I am not buying the tower at the same time I am not able to get extended warranty.

But I will get the 3 year "protection plan" from the shop anyway.....it's still a lot cheaper than AppleCare.....

MacBook Pro 1.83GHz, 2GB RAM (from work)
