I bought the remote about 4 months ago, and I would not recommend it for the following reasons. I don't know why, but it has happened during two important presentations that the remote advance function just suddenly stopped working. Taking advantage of the remote, I was walking around while giving the talk, and was then forced to walk back to my PowerBook G4 to manually advance the rest of the slides. As well, I chose it because of its built in laser pointer. To be honest, the laser point is terrible as it is not bright enough. Hopefully, a better solution will come along.

There is a competing product called RemotePoint Navigator by interlink

http://www.interlinkelec.com

which looks promising on paper. A bluetooth solution would be nice as well.

Although I don't own the remote, I borrowed it from a friend for an important presentation last week. I felt that it worked really well. I had a keynote presentation and used it to advance my slides. I really like the fact that this remote has the built-in pointer, which is fine for rooms that are slightly dimmed, and also the thumbpad which functions as a remote mouse. Very slick.

I'm considering getting one, but I'll wait for a decent rebate.

I just picked one up this past weekend. It's worked well (and the laser pointer has been quite bright) in my practice sessions. I'll let you know what happens next week at my real presentation...

I just got the Interlink Navigator and it is truely a superior product. It's well made and is very easy to use. With only four buttons, any technophobe can use it. It works reliably with Keynote, Powerpoint, and Adobe PDFs played full screen. Both Mac and PC compatible with no software. This was important to my company since the remotes we have now are difficult to set up. The range is estimated at 50' and my tests is that it worked well beyond that. I used the Keyspan remote at a training and felt it was not as well made at the Interlink. It is cheeper however, $45 vs. $90.
