Yet another phone question! I use my mobile occasionally to connect to the internet and email. However the GSM (9600 bps) is very slow. Is there a way to connect to the internet using GPRS on the t68i ? I know that I will have to pay per kb up/downloaded (my network is Vodafone) but sometimes I need the to get pages up faster than the GSM connection! (On the phone i have set
Connect>Data Comm>Pref Service>GPRS and GSM).
The Vodafone Salesperson was not very helpful.
Thanks again for the help.

You propably need a subscription from your serviceprovider to use GPRS data function. Do you have that? If your service provider does have GPRS data it should be documented how to use it in your subscription package and your phone manual!

However if you are looking for fast transfers via GPRS you should take a look at this device http://newolution.com/products/products.html

I know that with Vodafone UK you have to ask them to turn on GPRS, it's free to have it turned on but the is a per KB charge. You can also sign up to the various GPRS tarriffs like GPRS 1 which gives 1Mb per month for £7.50.

can you tell me how to connect to the internet with GSM? Do you have to sign up services with your service provider? I couldn't get mine to work using infrared or bluetooth!

GSM data and using GSM+GPRS as mentioned earlier often requires that your service provider turn on that function.

So first of all make sure that you have GSM-Data or GPRS-data abilities with your GSM- subscription.

Note: In Finland the GSM-Serviceproviders can send you all the nessary setups directly to your GSM-Phone.
