Since my PowerBook is in repair for a faulty inverter board, I'm stuck with my PC this week. I would like to use my new, 20-inch Cinema Display with it, but I can only get it to support standard resolutions. It just won't work at 1,680 by 1,050 pixels. It can drive a Cinema HD at 1,920 by 1,200, but the closest I've been able to get to 1,680 by 1,050 is 1,600 by 1,024.

Is there any way I can force my PC to run my display at its intended, native resolution? I'm running an nVIDIA GeForce4 Titanium on my PC. I'm not having problems actually connecting my display to my computer (I have an ADC to DVI converter).

seanyepez: You of all people should know how to search for a previous thread on the same topic! They don't call you "Addicted to MacNN" for nothing.

To make a long story short, PowerStrip is the answer to your prayers.

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.

What can I say? I'm lazy.

I used to use PowerStrip to overclock my video card.
