Ok, I was listening to my iPod one night, nothing special, and i saw that the bettery was getting low. So I turned it off and plugged it in over night to charge. When I woke up the next morning, I tried to turn it on to listen to it, and it wouldnt turn on. I checked the lock and it wasn't on. Hmmm... I went over to my Mac G4 and plugged it in there and it wouldn't open iTunes and it didn't even show up on the desktop. I think I killed it. Any suggestions?

Go to www.ipodlounge.com and go to the
forums, lots of advice.

My 5 GB is pretty dead, might have to go
buy a new one but I'm not going to bother
until I find out what new iPod product
is coming out. Sigh.

You should check out this thread, especially if your dead or nearly dead iPod is out of warenty. Every person who has posted in this thread has had success doing this. I just did it on a friends iPod last night and will see if it works for them.

I tried it. No lights, no sound, no
power, totally dead. Tried the link
and tried the procedure, no joy.

Tried the taking-back-off-and-unplugging it trick. Works again!

Check out this thread. The same thing happened to mine, exactly. Rather than taking it off, you may just need to leave it off for quite awhile and then try.
