How can I do this? I don't think that a regular hub will work will it? I was at CompUSA today and they had an auto USB switch for $149. Too much money for me. So what works?

Regards,
Ben

That's what you're looking for. Keyboard/mouse only (plug your mouse into your keyboard).

If you want to use 1 monitor that's a different story.

Here's another: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/cableson...pusbutswi.html

KVM, yes, but this is only for a keyboard.

If he has a keyboard that has usb ports (like the pro keyboard) he can just plug his mouse into that, and use one of these types of hubs for a lot less.

If I'm not mistaken the second hub I linked is bus powered too, not sure how good that is but it might be nice (however it could suck too much power and not work the keyboard!)

You could just buy a simple USB switch like this one. Of course, for less money you could just buy a second USB keyboard.

Tooki that's what I liked him to, except the ones I showed him are 1/4 of the price
