I still get prompted to enter it again... Why does this happen? It's a pain entering all of those random numbers/letters in. Am I doing something wrong?

Go to Utilities/Airport Base Station Utility, click on your base station.
A drop down menu asking for your paasword will appear, enter the WEP#.

This should take care of the problem, I had the same problem your having & it worked for me.

I'm not at my Mac so I hope I'm telling you eaxactly the right way.
