I need to print out high quality membership cards for members of a club and I was looking at the Eltron P210 and using Virtual PC to print them out when I stumbled across the Evolis New Pebble Mac Card printer. It is almost double what the Eltron is but has mac OSX software for design and printing.

http://www.evolis.com

Has anyone used/seen/heard of the Evolis and/or the Eltron? Comments? Suggestions?

At this point it is almost the cost of the Mac!

Well...the Evolis Pebble looks cool, if nothing else. I've never used it. Try this:

Trust me I have looked at every google result. Most all of those are some RC cars.

I know it is a new printer but to think NO ONE has used it, ever seems a little odd.

I tried the Evolis. Worked great. Printed about 200 cards from a PC. Everything ok. The problems stardet when I tried to connect the NewPebble to a Mac with OSX 10.2 through a Planet print server. It worked two cards and now I really cant get it to work. Unfortunately my printer does not have a USB. Recon that a USB port would have solved everything... Except for this the quality is superb when i print from the PC through the parallell port...

Hey... someone who actually used it.

Actually, I bought it and been using it on 10.2 with USB and it works great. Need to print from Microsoft Word but the quality, size and speed are great.
