Recently, under OSX 10.2.3 and 10.2.4, the Epson Scan to File Software does not recognize my Epson Perfection 1650??? When using Scan to File, there is an error message stating that "cannot access scanner..."? I have tried every USB port as well as reinstalling Epson Scan to File with no success. However, if using the trial version of VueScan or the Image Capture software of OSX, the scanner is recognized. Image Capture is relatively limited. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to correct this???
Thanks in advance...

I have exactly the same setup. I tried scanning using Graphics Converter and the Aquire command. That doesn't work either. It appears that 10.2.4 broke the Epson drivers!

I gave up trying to deal with driver issues and spent $40 on VueScan from hamrick.com - well worth it, IMO.

I quit using Scan to File a long time ago, as Epson has had twain drivers out for most of their scanners, since last fall.
I just gave my daughter my Perfection 1640, which has worked fine, using Acquire from within Photoshop and Office, ever since the first version of Jaguar. I just set up her iBook yesterday, running 10.2.4, and the scanner works fine. The same scanner worked fine for me, using every version of Jaguar. Make sure you download the 5.75a drivers, not the 5.75 ones.

Just to bump this thread back up - has anyone noticed that the Epson Twain drivers don't work with all applications? I can get it to work with Photoshop, for instance, but not Graphics Converter.
