Hi I just picked up a Apple Studio Display 15" DVI on Ebay pretty cheap but "SOLD AS SEEN"

I could not test it with my G4 as I only have ADC/VGA ports so tried it on my Dads Beige G3 with Radeon PCI running MacOS 9.2.1

The screen worked and the LED is green but the image looked like the monitor had taken some bad weed, the colours were all over the place.

I was able to check the Monitors CP and could see it had recognised the display correctly, cycling through different res/colours showed no improvement.

So whats the likely diagnosis?

1. It's stuffed?
2. The Radeon does not like it?
3. The Radeon drivers (not updated them in months) have some glitch with DVI?

HELP? Any suggestions?
