New iPod Predicament

I'm all ready to buy a new 5GB iPod and I'm all psyched up about it, but then I started reading on thinksecret how new models will be released soon (I hope) so now I'm confused.
1) I go and buy a 5GB model and be happy and content with that. For awhile. But if i do that and the new 10gb one comes out at the lower price i'll be extremely mad.
2) I wait however long til the new models are out, but then who nows HOW long it will be before they come out in stores, or even if they show up here in canada, and i can't stand waiting, since i need it for march break.
Does anyone have any ideas what to do? I'm totally stumped and frustrated on this, any suggestions would be great. Would ordering online be the best if new ones DO come out that are good priced?

I dunno, but I'd wait if I were you. With all the evidence pointing to a new iPod (rumor sites, lack of stock of the iPods all over the place, time for an update, etc), it'd be foolish to buy before they get updated. Even if you're waiting for a week or two, you should wait. You'll regret it otherwise. Of course, if you've just GOT TO HAVE IT, go ahead and get it - if you can find a 5gb one anywhere. You won't be disappointed in it because they kickass.

I know how you feel. I was very close to buying a 10 gig model at BestBuy this weekend for 374.99 (sale).
With all the rumors, I think its good to wait. The prices may go down too.

God, BestBuy has iPods too, Dell, who else? Does anyone know how huge iPod is? Anyway, I have a 10 and it is hands the best purchase so much that at times I wish I has some kind of inscription on it, with the chrome back it's alike pocket watch piece, which once again it took the rest of us to catch up with idea. It's something other makers just don't seem to pick up on. I would wait, with any luch you might be albe to pick up a 10 for the current 5 price. I don't know what a future model would have, but I personally hope they keep the chrome back, yes it's a fingerprint magnet, but when I take it out of a stylish case and show people, it's the disbelief in their faces that sums it up. Oh, and it's a really good MP3 player too
