I'm generally pretty happy with my i850, but am having one problem that's driving me nuts, and I can't tell if it's the printer, the Canon driver, or the OS (OK, in this case it's probably not the OS, but ya never know.) I'd appreciate any insights.

I'm trying to print using the "2 pages per sheet" layout. This should put two portrait pages side-by-side on a landscape-oriented sheet of paper. The first time I try this, it works fine. Subsequent attempts, however, have the two pages rotated 90 degrees, so that they're on top of each other on a portrait-oriented sheet of paper, rather than side-by-side. Mind you, this is with the same exact printer settings.

From my experimentation (not conclusive yet, but this is what I've got so far), the settings work correctly for the first job printed after the printer is powered on, and then subsequent jobs come out wrong. This makes little sense to me, but it seems to be the behavior.

I know that printing is not necessarily one of OSX's strong points, but this is really strange and infuriating. Help!

[BTW, I'm running 10.2]

I use a Canon S630 and (at my girlfriend's home) a Canon S450. Both work flawless, printing up to 16 pages on one page (although I tried up to and including 6 pages a page). Should be a driver issue.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
