Hey All,
I just got my brand new 23 inch cinema display today. It's everything I could have dreamed for, EXCEPT when it's showing black, it looks like somebody has covered the screen in rainbow sprinkles, or glitter? Do I have thousands of dead pixels? I'm going to call apple. Any advice?

Sounds like you might have a ton of dead pixels.

Sorry to hear that.

But usually don't dead pixels just show up on White screens, or other colored screens? For me, Red is perfect, Green is perfect, Blue is okay, White is Perfect, and Black is horrible....

No. Stuck pixels CAN and WILL show up on black.

Dead/malfunctioning pixels can show up on any other color as well.

They are reffered to as pixel anomolies for this reason. I had tons of those stuck on black ones that had a problem similar to what you're having.

Hmm, after a day of use, the glitter/sprinkles seem to have magically healed themselves... Maybe the screen just needed breaking in?
