My hp 4 laserjet has just started jamming, it seems to do this at the end of the paper path, the paper accordians. have tried cleaing, etc. to no avail. does anyone know if there is some sort of cleaning sheet one can load into paper path that will clean what i cannot reach, or has anyone had this prob and has a fix?

your rollers are done. you can try to use rubbing alcohol on them to make them grip again. if that doesn't work, you'll have to replace them. check out on the net and you can find the rollers relatively cheap. i have an lj4 which did the same thing. the rubber rollers get dirty or just wear out.

the rubbing alcohol trick held up pretty good. the key is to remove both roller assemblies (upper and lower on the rear) and clean them really good. it's hard to say how long it will last, your mileage may vary, give it a shot, just remember how to put the rollers back in after you remove them. usually they're only held in by a collar on the end of the roller shaft assembly, just don't lose those, good luck
