Hello

I recently bought a 17" Apple Studio Display. I like it very much, the colors are vibrant and the text is sharp. I have a question however : is it normal that I have a slight ghosting effect ?

For example : if I let a Word document open on the screen during something like 3 or 4 minutes, I can see a ghost image of it during say 1 or 2 minutes max on a light background image. Is it just normal for a FP display ? Or is there a problem ?

Thanks in advance !

I called the vendor where I bought the monitor and he told me that I needed time to get used to the flat panel (coming from a CRT). I am not 100% convinced by the explanation

I get the same thing if I leave something open for more than 30 minutes, but it does go away. Not sure what causes it, but since its not permanent I rarely worry.

I am not convicned by the dealer's explanation either. What you describe does not sound normal and indicates that there is a problem w your display or video card. A 17" Apple display should not be doing this.
