I've been saving up for a 5GB ipod for like months and I finally have the money now.
I just called every mac store in my area and NONE of them have ANY ipods and claim they are discontinued (the 5gb one that is).

Needless to say I sort of expected this, i get my hopes up and it's all for nothing. Now I have to wait however long for new shipments to come in or new models to come in, or blow the money on other stuff and hate myself for not getting an ipod...

So I guess I'm waiting...

Just wait a bit. It's sure worth it (the worst that could happen is that you get a 10 gigger for the same price).

The iPod is freaking beautiful. After friends of my little brother saw it, two bought one. The thing is that amazing.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Best Buy had the 10GB at $379, and they were sold out. They said they might be getting more Tuesday.

Now I've found several iPods I could just buy, A 10GB one for 355 which I can afford, however do these prices include any kind of tax? I know shipping is included. But From everything else I've bought on eBay there was no tax. Is this still true?

When buying an iPod for my brother at xmas I couldn't find a 5gig one anywhere, noone in the country seemed to have them (or the 20gig) for that matter. I eventually managed to get a 10gig one a couple of days before xmas. It's good to know that they were selling so well as christmas presents.

Anyway, my point is, get a 10gig one, 5 gig isn't =really= big enough, and the 10gig is smaller.

PS: just before xmas, i saw a couple of 10gig iPods selling for more than their retail value on eBay.

Tom.
