I finally decided on the Lexmark E320 laser printer... and it works great in Mac OS X... i didn't even need to install any drivers... it was recognized and it printed perfectly.
But I can't get it to print in Classic mode. So I restarted in Mac OS 9.2.2 and I installed the drivers. But I can't get it to work. Well I guess what it really did was install a PPD and I am supposed to use the LaserWriter 8 driver.
I went to chooser, picked LaserWriter, but when I go to print I get an error mesage that reads:
"no desktop printer exsists for this spool file"
Is there supposed to be a lexmark icon somewhere in the chooser?
Any help would be great...
I used Word a lot, but right now I only have Word for Mac OS 9. So if I can't print in Classic, it would really suck.
Thanks for any help.
