I wonder how the IPod's drive is organized. I'd like to use the iPod for my music (syncing with iTunes), contacts/appointments (via iSync) and backup (copying files to/from the iPod via the Finder).

How are the "special" contents (music/contacts/appointments) kept on the iPod's drive? Can the peacefully coexist with other data copied manually?

And is there a possibility to choose which songs are synced to the iPod from iTunes? Apple's website just says "Wham... all your music is synced". What if I want to sync just some songs?

Grateful for any hint,

Jan

Yes, you can choose which songs go on to the iPOD, all will become clear when you see the iPod icon in Itunes come up.

You can copy files on to the iPod without worrying about the contacts etc. If I recall (I don't use these features of the iPod, buy a T68), contacts are stored in a separate folder called, funnily enough, Contacts.

So, you can just copy stuff on like a normal hard drive.

Cheers,

Rohan
