Has anyone seem the SliMP3? www.slimp3uk.com

Anyone think Apple might have something similar up their sleeve, what with Rendezvous support soon to appear in iTunes. The SliMP3 looks cool but I'd love to see an Ives take on this device. The iFi anyone?

They could even airport enable it?

I would personally love to have my iTunes playlists listenable through my stereo, surely this would put Apple at the centre of the digital hub? As well as being *ahem* 'frickin sweet'.

i too want something like this, but will wait until there is a gui to view my playlists... the last thing i want to do is scroll through thousands of songs/albums on a tiny 1-2 line lcd! i want a gui displayed through a tv or something...

i know tivo has something along these lines and i hear others are coming soon.

I thought it was nifty when I first saw it, but at that price just get a TiVo.

In fact, I just did. Ordered it about 20 minutes ago.

Playing (and controlling) iTunes on my stereo is why I really want the thing, so the whole DVR part is just (pretty fantastic) icing.

Of course this technology has only been promised, but I saw photos of it working from CES (or MW, I forget), so I have faith.

If it doesn't pan out, I still have a TiVo.

Looks good, but would be a lot better if it had a 5 inch LCD displaying iTunes, and a little trackpad for you to move around with.

Tom.
What are you looking for? A signature?

I was actually thinking that an interface along the lines of the iPod's would be a step up. Keeps the cost reasonable too. Can't actually think it would be that expensive, even with wireless. About the same cost range as an iPod?

Now we're talking. This is perfect functionality-wise (and about the right price too) if only it wasn't so unattractive!

Jeez Mac hardware design has made me so fussy!

And of course getting hold of one in the UK will probably be difficult. See the iTrip fiasco of being banned from sale!
