Hi -

I have an iBook (466 mhz) and I'm looking into CD-RWs. I did some searching in the archives, but what I'm looking for is basic info on what I should be looking for. I'm not an expert by any means.

I've had my computer for over 2 years and I just want to make sure the files are backed-up. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money, I just need something of decent quality, inexpensive and compatible with the iBook. I'm not even sure I want CD-RW or just CD-R, but I figured if I'm going to spend the money on it I might as well have the versatility.

Could someone give me give advice?

Thanks!

Emile

well emile

first off, i belive you got firewire on that puppy right?

second every cd burner that you get today has CDRW along with CDR.

and lastly if you want a simple CDR that you can just plug in, and will work with itunes right off the bat you are looking at spending about 150

i am a personal of Lacies harware, i picked up a 12X4X32 burner back in 2000 when i got my G4, i have since upgraded the drive in the FW case and she is still running strong with over 350 Cds burnt.

so here is a recent drive that will work in itunes and the finder, and will only cost you 150 bucks

I GOT WASTED WITH PHIL SHERRY!!!
