I just opened mine up and followed the instructions. Am charging the iPod now, form the charger. Then I'll plug into the computer to get music and stuff. I'll let you know how it goes. Its charging now so I quess I didn't hurt in too bad...we'll see though.

Thanks for the know how to at least attempt to fix this problem. I also use my iPod 1-2 hours per day tops, and was having to charge it daily.
