I would like to record my voice, but my built-in iMac mic is not really the best thing to use.

I know there are several USB solutions, but, as my iMac (like mots macs) has a built in external 3.5 mm stereo microphone entry, i just wanted to know if there's any chance some cheap PC-like micro would ever fit in this iMac in line entry.

And if so, what should i choose in terms of impedance, voltage, connector, noise ratio, and the like.

Thanks

Vic

I've a Telex Super-Directional USB Digital Microphone (M-560) which works just fine. In OS 9, you will need to have Apple Audio Extension enabled for it to work.

I was tempted by Labtec's VERSE 704 USB MICROPHONE when buy.com had a pretty good price a while ago, even though I already had my Telex.
