Steve Sakoman has left PalmSource and is heading back to Apple.

It's hard for a Newton lover like myself to not get optimistic at this news.

Does anyone out there have any knowledge of Mr. Sakoman's area of expertise? Just to fuel some additional speculation.

I could SO use an updated (and slightly smaller) Newton for use in my practice of medicine.

Hmm, slimmed down OS X on a hand held. I'd buy it if it was Snappy.

I hope so too... I'd love got see a good Mac hand held out there. Since Palm's future don't look so good.
