Epson printer-even pages coming out upside down

I have an Epson 2200 printer running under OSX and half of the pages are coming out upside down. In other words, the even ones come out with the bottom of the page facing forward but the odd pages come out with the bottom facing towards the printer. How do I fix this?

When the Print dialog comes up, select Layout from the pull down menu, and see which of the 4 layouts you have selected. The first option is for "normal" printing.

yes, i have the first one selected but it did not fix it....
