Hi,

After having consulted these boards I bought a new Kensington 'Optical Elite' Mouse.

It seems pretty good, although I miss the quality feel of the Apple mouse, but I can't get the pref pane to see the mouse. All I get is 'No Kensington pointing device is connected'.

One button and the scroll wheel work but i'm after the full functionality of the multi-buttons.

I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling mouseworks, plugging the mouse into the keyboard, a USB hub and straight into the mac, zapping PRAM, moving the prefpane to my account as opposed to the root account, removing all other prefpanes, blah blah.

All seems to be Ok in os9 so I don't think the mouse is faulty.Kensington tech support said to send it back...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Simon
