A few days ago when I noticed the lens was dirty I decided to clean it with a Q-Tip that was damp (not soaking) with 70% Isopropyl (alcohol). Big mistake. Now there appears to be a very small amount of what appears to be condensation on the centre of the inside of the lens which will not go away. It affects the picture quality alot. I have waited for it to go away for days with no results. Any tips for getting rid of it short of opening up the camera? Thanks.

Basically, if the seal is gone, you're screwed. My favorite condensation removing trick is to put the camera on the dashboard of your car in the hot sun. Works like a charm. In the winter and if you live some place with no access to said sun, then just keep waiting. Take out the battery and CF card and leave the access door(s) open. It probably won't go away. And if it does, it may very well return. You could take it in for repair, but you're probably better off replacing it, assuming the seal between elements is gone.

After several days it still doesn't work. The images still come out all distorted. Should I call Canon?
