Hi all,
Just a quick question....
My boss says that I can buy a new cinema display (23") for my power mac "if" it will work with his pc as well....
My question is....will this display connect to a pc with a dvi video card and a dvi to adc connector?
Any luck?
Thankyou in advance....
Cheers James

I believe it will work fine, *if* you have a video card which supports 1900x1200 resolution (which would have to be a relatively new card).

Mine works absolutely flawlessly both with an Apple ADC to DVI adapter and now with a CompuCable ADC/DVI KVM switch. I have a PNY branded GeForce4ti 4400 card in my PC. Supports 1920x1200 native perfectly.

How do you control the brightness from the PC?

You can't control the brightness.... I've heard from others that you can turn it down on the Mac and it will be the same on the PC, but I cannot confirm.
My 20" is just a tad brighter than I would like, but with the beauty of the screen, it's not really a problem.

I've used my 22" Cinema Display on a PC with a Radeon 8500 and a Dr. Bott DVI-ADC converter. Runs great.
The 22" Cinema is unique from all other Apple ADC displays in that it has hardware brightness buttons that still function when connected to a PC. None of the other Apple ADC displays are like this (15", 17", 20" or 23").
You might be able to find a price-reduced 22" display for use on a PC if you're concerned about the brightness control.
