I need an adc switcher so I can use my pc (radeon 9700) and mac on my 22" apple cinema display. Gefen offers a switch that will convert DVI to ADC within the switch for $450. Drbott offers a switch for $299 + $95 for the DVIator to convert my PC's DVI to ADC, making it $55 cheaper. Any comments on the quality between the two? Anyone used either? Also I have read that certain DVI->ADC solutions won't display DOS/BIOS info from a PC, so any info on these products in this respect is also appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

If deciding between those two, I'd go Dr. Bott. That company has a great reputation for Apple products that really deliver great quality. You wouldn't be dissapointed.

I found a great solution to the same problem from CompuCable. It's an ADC/DVI KVM switcher. In other words it takes DVI signal + USB from the PC side, ADC from the Apple side, power from its own plug and then goes to your ADC Cinema Display (in my case, a 23").

Here's the link:

I got mine from CDW for $289. Took like three weeks to get and I had some slight trouble in the beginning, but it works beautifully now. Quick, seamless switching. Carries the USB from the back of the display flawlessly. Image is completely undegraded. Better than my old Iogear VGA KVM switch.
