Help!!!! I'm desperately trying to print off my dissertation, and the STUPID TOP MARGIN keeps coming out at about a half an inch!! It should be one inch!

This is an HP deskjet 932c on a G4/533. It was all working fine a few days ago.

I've trashed the print center prefs. I've deleted the hp folder from the printers folder. I've reinstalled the software.

No dice. I seem to remember someone else having this problem, but I can't find the thread.

Any ideas?

Cheers

I had the same problem with my HP 5550 --only happened in MS word.

The only solution I found was to uninstall v2.1 of HP drivers and reinstall v2.0. It's solved the margin problem.

Do you know where i can get the 2.0 installer? This is what I'd like to do...

i also have the HP 932C, ever since i installed the new HP drivers on my QS800, the top margin has shrunk from about half an inch to half a cm. it's really annoying! is there a fix so the top and bottom margins are of equal distance/length....??

OK. Here's how to fix it:

.5) Delete the printer from the print center thingy
1) Delete all the preferences for the print center
2) Delete the HP stuff from the system library/printers folder [edit: you won't be able to empty the trash until you log out and back in. Don't worry about that now. Just toss everythign in the trash]
3) Reinstall the HP drivers from disc 2 of the Jaguar CD
4) Get the 2.0f update from here: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwar...0f_OSX.sit.hqx and install it
5) Add the printer.

Fixed all my problems.

I have also been frustrated with a reduced top margin and a correspondingly wider bottom margin. This "shift" upward of the printed page occurs in my Word documents as well as text pages I have printed from Preview.

The image appears with the correct margins when the page is "previewed" prior to printing but not when printed.

I am using a new iMac with and an Deskjet 812C. The print driver is hp injet 2.1

Will Scott's solution fix my problem?
