A client of mine is looking for a new scanner. Your standard $100 job will do. I have an Agfa and its perfect, except they don't make consumer scanners anymore. What they need is OS 9 support, becuase thier iMacs are on 9.1 now. They also need OS X support becuase they will probably be upgrading thier computers in the near future. And they use it with photoshop so the ability to scan right from photoshop is a must. Anyone have any good recommendations?

Try an Hp psc 750xi. Walmart has them for $98. It is an all in 1 (scanner, color copier, color printer) that works in both OS 9 & OSX.

Great photo printing too. You can even duplicate a color photo without computer.

Good quality

Couldn't agree more. This scanner is a marvel...it's very thin, light, and beautiful. It produces wonderful scans and it powers itself from the USB cable, so there's no need for an AC adapter whatsoever. Plus, it can be had cheapest for ~$66 at www.techsavings.com (where I got mine from, great shipping & service) if you simply type "canon 30" in the search box. I wouldn't recommend any other scanner, it's absolutely incredible to look at, and the image quality is pristine, escp. for the low price. And to sweeten the deal, it's OS 9 *and* OS X compatible. Good luck!

Might be worth you time to check out http://www.apple.com/macosx/upgrade/scanners.html for future OS X compatibility.
