My iPod (which i got from someone on the forum) was dead when I got it. I guess the seller, and paypal aren't going to do anything so I'm kinda screwed. Anyway, I have the FireFly 5gb drive which has the same model toshiba drive that the ipod does. I tried to use that drive to replace the ipod drive and when the ipod updater tries to restore it, it says that the drive has the incorrect configuration. Any ideas what this could be ? I figure i'm out 160.00, but If I could get the firfly drive to work, it wouldn't be so bad, as the ipod does both. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks !

What are you talking about? Where did you buy it? What exactly did PayPal say?

I purchased an ipod from doctorteeth here on the forums. I was out of the country when i purchased it. When I got home and finally opened the box, the contents were junk. the ipod not only doesnt work, it's scratched to hell and back. Meanwhile, it's been 30 days and paypal won't do anything after that time period, so im screwed. Any other questions, feel free to ask. Oh, and BTW..the seller won't even respond to my emails. He's avoiding this like the plaque. The only thing i have left to do is get an attorney.

You might not need a lawyer because you could probably handle this in small claims court (where lawyers are generally not even allowed).
