I bought an HP Laserjet 1200se over the weekend and am unsure that I have the drivers for it installed properly on OS X 10.2.4. The directions say that after running the installer I will be prompted to reboot, but the installer just closes. I ran the installer twice, but the only additional software seems to be a classic program. Print Center does detect the printer and lets me print, but both Safari and Camino only print one page. Word X prints just fine.

I'm wondering if maybe the HP drivers that I installed with Jaguar are causing a problem. How can I completely uninstall the HP drivers from Apple and make sure that I have removed everything that the HP CD installed before trying again?

Give this a try, if you installed from your CD try downloading from here at HPs site, http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...onlymac-en.hqx
there is a chance that the site is more uptodate then the CD, in the case of my Photosmart printer problems I had installing it from CD didnt happened from the downloaded version.

I also checked HPs site and OS X comes with drivers for the 1200se printer as well. 10 and 10.2

Also to remove the software assuming this it got installed use this
HP Uninstaller located in the Application/Hewlett-Packard folder.
Not sure if all the HP printers have that installer but its a good bet most do.

Thats about the most I can offer being im a Classic OS boi

Well after deleting every HP framework I could find and reinstalling, I still had the problem. Then I tried a few other sites, and it seems that for one particular website (my credit union), when OS X does a print preview or prints from any printer it only prints one page. Safari prints the current screen, Camino .7 prints the top first page. I'd send a bug report to Apple but don't want to send all my bank account info along with the bug.

I also found on HP's website that if you are using Jaguar, the drivers come with the OS so you don't have to install anything.

It's still a little flakey, with some print jobs pausing for about 10 seconds during pages, but otherwise it's ok.

BTW, does the DIMM RAM slot use normal RAM or is it an HP specific thing? What benefits would I see from expanding the RAM?

By expanding the ram you can reduce print times by as much as 80%. At least that is what HP claims.
