I want to play my Powerbook's iTunes on my home stereo without buying an iPod. I'm looking for a device that will beam an audio signal from my Powerbook's headphone jack across the room to a receiver station of some kind that would attach to my home stereo (probably via RCA cables). I don't want to have to plug the Powerbook "sender" device into a power outlet, because that means I can't walk around with my Powerbook without interrupting the signal.

Can anyone recommend a product that does this?

HomePod is scheduled to ship in late March with a suggested retail price of $199.

I've heard a lot of "scheduled to ship" or "expected" these days without seeing any finished results on time. Anyone know when this one will actually ship?
