I'm using the beta drivers and trying to get a MicroTek ScanMaker 4 to work with 10.2.4 on a 1.25 GHZ DP Mirror-Drive-Door machine. The scanner is hooked to an adaptec 2906 SCSI card.

Apple System Profiler sees the scanner and correctly detects the SCSI ID, no problem. However, on login, the MicroTek Scanner Finder utility insists that the scanner is at ID 0, no matter what we set it to.

Then trying to acquire images using the Scan Wizard 5 version 7 software tells us that it can't locate any scanner; this launches the Scanner Driver Utility, which also doesn't see any scanners.

The drivers came from a dmg labeled:
SW5 Full Installer V7.00.0.dmg

Then we applied a patch to make it work with the ScanMaker 4:
SM4-SWP V1.00b1.dmg

Tech support told me to manually delete all files that had the word MicroTek in them, and reinstall. That's all the help they can give me, since it's a beta driver.

Any help or suggestions?
