I am trying to get my blackberry to work on my iBook. I have Virtual PC and have installed the software through VPC, but cannot get VPC to recognize the USB port that the Blackberry is plugged into.
I have two issues:
1) How to get it to recognize it (I've tried a TON of things).
2) Does anyone know of any hacked utilities out there so I don't have to go through Virtual PC in the first place.
Any help is appreciated. I'm pretty much a Mac-whiz, but this one has me boggled.

How did you plug the Blackberry into the USB port? I thought they onlyhad serial port connections. I have been struggling with the same problem. I am about to migrate to a mac at work and don't know how to handle my Blackberry. It is a lousy PDA but a very good e-mail device. Too bad no mac support.

I bought the new Nextel Blackberry 6510 and it only comes with a USB port. I guess since it's a new model (only out 6 weeks) that the decided to forego the serial and stick just with USB.
If it had a serial adapter I'd try the other suggestions on the board of purchasing the serial/USB adapter from Keyspan. That seems to work fairly well.
I just have a hard time believing that no one has written a patch or hack software that fixes this problem.

My Blackberry worked OK through VPC but it was a serial model plugged into a Keyspan USB high speed model.
Unfortunately, I have a Sony-Ericsson P800 with a USB cradle that does not work through VPC. VPC sort of sees it but won't work with it. You may have a similar issue.
As a work around, you may need to get a serial cradle and use the keyspan adaptor.

Astaugel:
Did you ever figure this out?
I need to do the same thing and have so far been unsuccessful.
