I got my Airport Extreme. PB is on the way.

I tried to get it ready by plugging it into my cable modem and using the other rj-45 connection to keep my PC(rap) on the net, but that didn't work. Not that that's a big deal, I am going to use my airport on the powerbook as my only net source anyway, but I was wondering if this is supposed be that way or not, or maybe I ought to read the manual.

Do a search in the Networking forum, you'll find more info there.
I believe you need to set it up via Airport. Once that's done, you'll be able to connect through the ethernet port. This is what I have read at least.
