I just got a T68i... didn't buy it for the bluetooth compatiability, it just came as a free upgrade with my tarriff...
However after watching the Steve note with the syncing of the address book, the bluetooth aspect seems pretty cool...
Anyone able to tell me exactly what it can do, and also opinions as to whether it is worth the outlay for the adaptor?
Cheers,
Marc

i think its worth it just to sync your contacts. But you can also use it as a wireless remote to control itunes, keynote, powerpoint, etc... You can also use it for internet services for a laptop/palm

Definitely. From the easy syncing with iSync to the remote control features mentioned above, it's a great little add-on.
Plus, by having my proximity to my computer control iTunes playback and my iChat status b/c of bluetooth is just cool.

I agree, totally the best investment. Now everytime I lose my phone, the minute Orange replace it, all my numbers are there!
Also, to be able to send text messages is so quick and I routinely divert calls to my answerphone in meetings and then text them to say when I'll be out.
The remote feature is pretty cool, enough that I forked up for it and I hardly ever do that. Just for DVDs it is worthwhile!

As well as the syncing, theres the ability to send photos back and forth easily between your mac and the phone. if you get the Communicam.
Even just in terms of customisation without the cam, my bg on my t68i is my logo and sending tunes back and forth is easy 2, if you have a jaguar and a t68i, your really missing out without the bluetooth.
The 2 recent news post on my site had photos taken with the communicam then b-toothed over to my Mac and then up 2 my site in under 5 mins

I think it is worth it just for the fact that I don't have to type all those new numbers in on the phone. I type it all on the computer and it sends it on over.
Same with iCal. My t68i is now my PDA.

How often do you lose your phone?

There's never enough when you have too little

it is totally worth it. If you SMS you will sure like being bale to send SMS messages from your Mac instead of the T9 input on the phone (which is not so bad either...)

What do you guys mean using it as a remote? The phone as a Remote for iTunes?
Is it a seperate App?

Yes it is. You need the Sony Ericsson Clicker software, available here:

Try it. You won't be disappointed!
