Came across http://www.printcountry.com/ today. Have refills for my Epson C60. Way cheaper, but I'm wondering if it could break my printer.
Anyone tried these?

As a person that has worked on many printers from dot-matrix to laser to inkjet I would not recommend refills. One customer I had brought an Epson dot-matrix to me. The printer was about 8 years old and was covered in black ink. I asked him if he re-inks the ribbon and he said yes and that the ribbon in the printer was the original when the printer was new. I cringed.
Remanufactured laser toners are very bad also. Most of the time the toners are just refilled, however, none of the other parts of the toner cartridge are replaced (gear, image drum, etc.).
Stay away from refills.

Thanks for the input...
It sounds like if I continue to refill the same ink cartridge over and over again it could cause problems. What if I refilled them once, then bought a new cartridge? That way i would at least be lowering my cost (I'm not hell-bent on buying them, I'm just curious).
Also, at this link they sell actual cartridges, not refill kits. If the print-head is in the cartridge how could this mess anything up?

I've refilled inkjet printer cartidges with no problem; the refills clearly state that you shouldn't refill the cartridges more than 5 or 6 times. So once the refills are finished, you should get brand new cartridges.

What brand of refill would people recommend?
What brand should I stay away from?
I imagine making good looking color ink is more difficult... should I just stick w/ refilling the black cartridge?
Thanks!

I've tried refilling cartidges and it always ends up with me being frustrated and a big mess.
Now I just buy refilled cartridges. They don't always work as well as Epson cartridges for me, but they're a lot cheaper and I can deal with a little less quality.

The latest ones are from Zellers. They were on clearance for real cheap. Usually I get them from Staples or FutureShop. I don't remember the brand though.

whoa! I can get three of each for what I pay retail for Epson cartridges.
One question, I could almost care less what it looks like for non-photo stuff, but do these cartridges look as nice as Epson ink on photos?

I've been on the generic ink cartridge bandwagons for a couple years now, and it's the only way to go. I usually check for deals on inkfinder where I can usually get my color and black cartridges for around $5 each. They work just fine.
The printer companies make their money on the cartridges, like giving away a gun and selling the bullets at 1000% markup. (Or selling a game machine at cost or below, and then soaking you on the games themselves.) The economics are undeniable. But fortunately, there are generic cartridge makers. I can't imagine how the printer companies stay in business, but apparently most people either haven't heard about the generics or are scared away by the warnings on printers telling them to only use their branded stuff.
Case in point. I just last week purchased an Epson 42UX color printer for $14 and then got 8 cartridges (3 color, 5 black) for $30. That's crazy cheap.
If you're interested, the ink deal ends today and the printer deal ends Monday.
And for good deals, I always check dealmac. No, I'm not affiliated with them - they are just kick-ass at finding the hot deals and I check the site nearly every day, trolling for deals I can't pass up.
