Hello,
Before I got my 17" PB (I love it!!!) I was running all pc's. I currently have a HP LaserJet 2100. It is hooked to a Dlink router/printserver (standard IP printing, queue name "lp"). This works from PCs, but my printer does not have post script support. What can I do!? (if I just try setting it up, the printer prints garbage) Is there some way to print in a non-postscript way? If this is possible, is it desireable? Thanks.

Go to Print Center (in Utilities folder). Click Add from printer list. Select IP Printing from pop-up menu at top. Put your router's IP address in IP field and try lp for queue name. Click Add. That should do it.

The laserjet 2100 uses Postscript level 2. Look at the following website.

You could also try the generic LaserJet print driver. It's under ESP (I have no clue why) when you add the printer. Works great for me printing to my aincient Epson ActionLaser 1500 (hosted on Windows via IP Printing), which emulates a LaserJet 3si...

CUPS has a PostScript->PCL RIP. So it should work with Ghostview/GimpPrint.
