OK, wierd LCD display issue with my new 800 DVI Powerbook. I'm running a 19" Samsung LCD display with DVI and VGA connectors with the 'book. When I plug in the Samsung using the DVI cable, I get no signal. With the VGA adapter, I get a signal, but I can only go to 1024*768 on the display, and I know its native resolution is 1024*1280. I've been able to get the native resolution before by unlplugging the VGA cable from the DVI adapter, detecting the displays, and then plugging it back in, but now even this won't work. Anyone experience anything similar or have a suggestion? Thanks,
VP

Sooo, ummm, anyone else have this issue? I'm trying to determine what the cause is here, so far no luck. I get the same results with an iBook with the spanning hack enabled, so I'm wondering if it's a compatibility issue with the Radeon 7500 and this display. Anyone else using a Samsung 191n LCD?

OK, just bumpin' to see if anyone might have suggestions. This is a pretty odd one, I think. The monitor works fine with a PC, showing the correct resolution, but trying it with the Mac doesn't allow the native resolution at all. Even using SwitchRes doesn't seem to work. Is this perhaps something that could be changed in the firmware? Anyone...Hello, is this thing on?

Sorry, can't help ya.

I ran my PB 800 DVI to a Sony 18" LCD, it worked fine over DVI. Currently I have it running with a 23" Cinema, via DVI/ADC converter. Works like a champ.

Oh well, thanks for the response, though. I suppose it's just a compatibility problem between the 191N and the Radeon 7500. It's too bad, too, since when it does show at its native resolution the image is quite nice. Hmm, well, hopefully an update will change this soon, otherwise I'll have to sell it...
