Everyone at work seems to have Palm, Handspring, etc... We use Win 98/XP at work with Outlook, and I'm beginning to think that I need a PDA.

But I'd also want to take advantage of the PDA on my Macs; Dual 533, Pismo 400MHZ ands soon to be 12" Powerbook.

I really like the Treo 90. It's small, seems to do what I want a PDA to do, as seems like the price is right. BUT... Does it work with OS X???

Can anyone share their experiences with multi-platforms and their PDA???

Thanks!

All PDA's by Palm and Handspring work just fine with the Mac. You can use the Palm Desktop software by itself or in conjunction with Apple's iSync. If you want to get a Sony Clie: I believe basic syncing will work just fine, but you'll need The Missing Sync (search for it at Version Tracker ) to enable advanced features to send photos, mp3s, etc.

The Treo 90 is pretty nice, but it's getting a little outdated now. It's got the old processor, old OS, and old low-resolution screen.

For a newer model, look at the Sony Clie SJ-33, SJ-22 or the Palm Tungsten|T. The SJ series still runs OS 4, however, and OS 5 Clies are outrageously expensive.

Good luck on your search!

Some Clie's do need The Misssing Sync, and some don't; my SJ30 works fine without it - as do several other Clies. Don't rush out and buy The Missing Sync until you've bought your Clie (if you choose to get one) and tried it.

Clie's. They are incredible.

The Sj-33 is sweet.
