I'm curious about the "Super Bright Mode" that some Mitsubishi monitors support. I've seen it advertised as good for gaming (which is the primary use of my computer) but I'm hoping to hear some first hand experiences of how well this feature works.

Do any of you have a monitor that supports Super Bright Mode? Would it be worth, say, an extra $100.00 on the price of a monitor?

Also, is this just a feature of the newest Mitsubishi based monitors or has it been around for a while?

I've got a Mitsubishi Doamond Pro 740SB, which I use with my late 2001 iBook and PC. Bought it last July or so, so guess it's been around for a while now.

I've never used the SB mode, and don't think it's worth the extra. The Mac video output is brighter than a PC's anyway, from what I've understood. (I'm not a graphics geek, but there was a thread about this a month or so ago.)
