Hey all,

I wanted to share my experience with ADC / DVI adapters. I have a 667 Ti Book w/ DVi and I have a 20 Cinema Display w/ ADC. Basically, my suggestion for anyone doing this is to avoid the DrBott DVIAtor. There's something in the build of the new display that doesn't quite play correctly with the adapter. The buttons on the display didn't talk to the laptop correctly, the buttons would stay lit when the machine was off, it wouldn't power the laptop, and it wouldn't put it to sleep. Also, from time to time the screens wouldn't sync up and would require all the wires to be disconnected and reconnected and the machine to be started over and over again.

I got an Apple connector today, and it works PERFECT.

I'm not trying to slander DrBott, I'm sure they have plenty of people working very hard on their products, but avoid anything that doesn't have an Apple logo on it!

i am sorry to hear that. I was going to try out their adapter because i had 2 apple's broken within 2 months, the second one was a replacement.

To me, apple dvi to adc is no better. It runs very hot after 10 mins or so. And when it breaks, the usb cable usually breaks first. So if you are not going to use that usb port on the monitor, don't plug in the usb cable.
