They have some great prices right now on their 17" and 20" LCD's compared to Apple's prices. 499.00 for a 17 is really good!

If you have a Formac LCD or have seen one in person, please give me your opinions before I go ahead with the purchase. And if you have a recommendation for a better LCD at a comparable price, let me know that too.

I've posted by review of my Formac Gallery 1740 (the one you want) many times on these forums - do a search for it.

But if you are too lazy then... yes its a great monitor. Probably the best 17" LCD display out there. It is 17.4", larger then most. Brightness is great, all images look perfect on it. It has a faster pixel response rate then Apples (great for gaming for video) and is all around the best LCD I have used to date. (besides the Cinema and Cinema HD from Apple, of course )

Hey - I've been using a 2010 for about 6 months now, shortly after they came out. Could not be happier. This display is so bright and sharp. It sits next to a ViewSonic VX900 driven DVI Radeon 9500 Pro, and there is no comparison. The vs is a good display; one of the better rated, but the 2010 is significantly brighter and has better color saturation. I paid 1,700 for mine, and I'd buy another if I could drive it.
