ok. I've heard enough about this supposed ipod update. Is this really happening or what? I've got one on order and I'd like to know if I should wait for this "upgrade" or not. If it's true then what are they upgrading?! The design? The specs? what?!

If you search back through some of the older iPod Upgrade Rumour threads, you'll find that there is ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER of any kind of upgrade to the iPod. Sure, there will no doubt be a HD upgrade (though why anyone would need more than 20GB is beyond me) but beyond that...

So go ahead and buy one. I was going to wait when I first read the rumours, and when I dug deeper and found them to be completely baseless, I went ahead and bought a 10GB iPod and have been loving it.

One thing, though - you'll want to buy a seperate case to put your iPod in - the case that comes with the device has an amazingly weak belt-clip - I've broken two of them in a period of three weeks...

I have ordered a iPod two weeks ago. At fisrt Apple online store said shipping within 3days. But it has been delayed three times. I called Apple this morning. The teller told me that they did not have iPod in stock and were making iPod at factory. He asked me to hold an order. I said no. I am suspicious of a new iPod sooner or later.

I plan on getting the gel-like blue glove that can go around it. I work out a lot so I need the *grip* ...plus...I never wear a belt! lol

I couldn't find an iPod anywhere on-line either. MacMall says they are back ordered until 4/19. Then a couple of days ago I'm in Target (of all places) and they have 10GB iPods in their electronic dept. Not only do they have 'em, but they are on sale for $340! ($60 less than Apple's price). Needless to say, I snatched one up and am now in iPod heaven.
