My wife is heading out get me one as I type. I can't wait any longer and I'll save a few bucks. The local Target store for me has them at $339.98.

Maybe there won't be a large rush on them, and they will come down further

Maybe, but then again, Target doesn't stock too many iPods anyway. And I've waited to darn long. If I can save a couple bucks, I'll be happy.

The next iPod revision will probably come with AAC (hopefully), which existing users will be able to flash into their existing iPods. The only thing I was really holding off for was price, and even if the newer ones come down to $300 for the 10gb, I'll still pay a $40 premium today to get it.

I just stopped at the Target in Duluth/Norcross and they were still selling them at full price. Looks the memo hasn't made it's way down the food chain yet...

Just picked up a 10GB iPod from Target in central Massachusetts for $339. They were also selling the 5GB model for $250 on clearance. I'm thinking about not opening mine for a couple weeks just to see if new ones come out, but I probably won't have such self control. Dealmac (http://www.dealmac.com) also reported a few days ago that some folks have found the 10GB selling for as low as $280 at some Target stores.

Doesn't target have a 90-day return policy if you have a receipt??? Even on electronics?

I say crack the baby open and enjoy it.

Sold out at my local Target...I think they "only" had like 10 EVER to sell anyway. Oh well.

Same deal in Bridgewater, NJ. They have the 10 GB models in stock, but at regular price.

'cause one store in town DID have clearance here in San Antonio, ALL others did not. That being said, I did get one last night after never imagining I'd get one (no real need), but I'm a sucker for a clearance sale. Got it and WOW, never thought these were as cool or as elegant as they are!
