I already have 2 apple 20" lcds on my dual 867 and wanted to know if there is anything i should watch out for when i pick up my third one this week.

here's what i am picking up:
apple 20" lcd,
the apple dvi - adc adapter
RADEON? 7000 MAC EDITION (its pci instead of agp)

just wanted to ask. the radeon 7000 is my only choice? I already have two monitors coming out of my included agp card...

i hope the fan on it is not loud since i am very happy with the power supply swapout i just did.

i 'dont play games so i would not need it for that. just need the screen real estate.

thanks

btw, i agree with other posters its the best monitor apple has made.

The Radeon 7000 PCI has a DVI output? I thought it was just VGA?

because i want to be like Neo!

Seriously though, I looked at the 23 and it was not bright enough for me. I noticed the diff from 6 feet away when i went to an apple store.

plus with 3 screens i get a resolution of

5040 accross

with 2 23" i would get only 3840 across

for about the same price

Yeah, the Cinema HD 23" is 200 nit Brightness, while the new Cinema 20" is 240 nit. Though I have a Formac LCD which has a rating of 250 nit, I usually turn it down to 225.

I would LOVE to see a picture of this setup when you're done. It must take forever to scroll your mouse from one edge to the other

A great camera in your price range to get would be the Canon PowerShot G3. About $799, and it is the best digicam your money will ever be spent on. Go out and buy it now.

I have dual 17" Studio Displays on my G4 with dual Apple DVI-ADC adapters. I'm
using Radeon 8500 AGP and Radeon 7500 PCI video cards.

There is some funkiness when I plug in both USB plugs from the Apple DVI-ADC
adapters. It is as if there is an intermittent short. The computer just
shuts off. I have managed to get it to work with both plugged in but only temporarily.

So, I leave just one plugged in. Consequently, I can only use the USB ports
on one of my Studio Displays.
