I have a Liteon 52x24x52x cdrw drive mounted in a Plumax Firewire case. Standard CDR's work fine. Burned cdr's work fine. Blank cdr's are ejected after some spinning and blinking, The same with audio CD's. I've tried numerous brands.
This is my second one as I figured it must be a drive error.

G4 450 AGP
OS 9.2
liteon LTR 52246s
PlumaxCase

While were discussing it, can i pull the fan out of the enclosure? Does the drive really need it? Man that thing is noisey! I'd rather run the vacuum cleaner.

There may be a compatibility issue going on...are you sure that drive (and *all* of it's fuctions) are fully supported in OS 9?
